The City of Groveland says it is taking steps to improve how it communicates with residents following several recent problems with its water systems.City officials faced criticism for posting water updates and boil water notices on Facebook rather than directly notifying residents.“We communicated effectively. What we didn’t do was communicate with empathy. And that was a big miss on all of our parts,” Groveland Public Affairs Specialist Ashley Wright said.City leaders said a new program called Groveland Connect will allow the city to send alerts directly to residents. The new notification program is scheduled to officially launch Nov. 1.Click here to download our free news, weather and smart TV apps.
