A well-known developer is continuing a push to remove dozens of acres from Seminole County’s rural boundary for construction of a 136-home community.Former state representative Chris Dorworth is asking the Planning and Zoning Commission to remove around 67 acres — including the former Pappy’s Strawberry Patch property — from the rural area at a Wednesday meeting.David Bear, president of Save Rural Seminole, plans to attend the meeting and speak against the proposal.“This is one more step in a fight that we’ve been fighting for a really, really long time,” Bear said. “This property being removed from the rural boundary has a number of problems for the community.”Voters overwhelmingly approved the rural boundary in 2004.
